/ Professional Bio

Lakshami didn't always want to be a developer. After earning a B.A. in Medieval Literature she worked as a teaching associate at Arizona State University. She went on to pursue a Ph.D., earning a Master’s in Old English Poetry along the way before deciding academic life wasn't for her. From camp management to yoga and wellness to copywriting, Lakshami gained experience in a variety of fields before taking the dive into development. She joined the Foster Made team as a front-end developer in 2021.

With 6 years of development experience and a certificate in technical communication, Lakshami is both a great developer and stellar communicator. She knows the right questions to ask to get the job done right and with maximum efficiency. With her expertise in Craft and Algolia, she works on full website redesigns, CMS updates, search implementations, and more. Working with our retained services clients, Lakshami is an indispensable partner, helping them identify opportunities to meet standards or elevate the user experience, whether it’s enhancing accessibility or upgrading existing features.
