Today I am excited to share that Foster Made has acquired Expresso Store (Store) and CartThrob from our good friends at Vector Media Group.
Our history with ExpressionEngine dates back to 2007 when we launched eecoder, an ExpressionEngine development service that powered the development of sites for creative agencies across the globe.
As time has passed, we have expanded to become a full-service agency with a much broader focus; however, much of our work remains rooted in ExpressionEngine. Because of our continued presence in the EE space, and because of our broader focus on ecommerce as a whole, we’ve long considered the idea of offering a commerce platform for EE.
After many thoughtful conversations, we agreed that taking the proverbial torch for CartThrob and Store from Vector was the best way for us to achieve our goals while supporting our clients and the EE community at large. We are working hard to make sure the transition will be as seamless as possible for all customers, and as of earlier this week, we’ve begun handling support through the normal CartThrob and Store support channels.
We’re excited about the future of commerce with EE (and we hope you are too!), and we look forward to sharing more about our plans for both products over the coming months.
If you have any questions about the products, our initial roadmap, or anything else, please send us an email. We would love to hear from you!
