I'm very excited to introduce our new team member, Katie Harris! I've already enjoyed being able to work with her as the latest addition to our Digital Project Management team. I had the opportunity to ask her some questions for all of us to get to know her a little better. I hope you enjoy.

Q: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself? Where you’re from, where you live now, anything else you want to mention, etc.

A: Sure! I’m Katie Harris, I’m the latest Project Manager to join the Foster Made team. I have an amazing family, we have a full house in the Northside in Richmond, VA.

Q: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A: I always dreamed that when I grew up I would be a US ambassador and represent the US while living in a far away, exciting place.

Q: What was your first paying job?

A: I remember one time Miss Alma gave me a quarter for helping her bring her groceries in. After this, my next position was babysitting for many of my cousins regularly at $10 a session. Finally at 14 I was promoted to busser at my family’s favorite local bar/restaurant where I always had a relative in the room and where both of my sisters also conveniently worked. (None of this was listed on my resume, sorry Foster Made)

Q: What was your job before starting with Foster Made?

A: I worked on Apple TV+’s American sports drama television series “Swagger”.

Q: Have you watched the movie and tv series you’ve worked on? If so, what’s your favorite production?

A: I have watched a lot of them! My favorite is probably “House of Cards, S1” because that’s where I met my husband. I also really enjoyed Homeland S7.

Q: How did you hear about Foster Made? What drew you to the position and/or is there anything you’re particularly excited about to be working here?

A: I’ve known about Foster Made for years from a friend that works here. I told her one weekend that I was possibly taking a position in Baltimore on another TV show and she urged me to apply for the open DPM position at FM and stay in Richmond instead. So much excites me about working at FM. I will list them in no particular order: The friendly/accepting/extremely helpful staff, working remotely, amazing project management tools, fun clients, interesting projects, the unique and charming office, and really positive company culture.

Q: If you could work from anywhere in the world, where would you be?

A: At the beach with family nearby.

Q: Ok, the last question is a series of questions. Which of these do you prefer? (Feel free to answer each with one word or elaborate if you’d like!):

Q:  Are you a morning person or Night Owl?

A: Morning! I am sadly always one of the first asleep.

Q: Mac or PC?

A: Mac

Q: Spring or Fall?

A:  If I had to choose, Fall. But I love them both so, so much. The pastels of azaleas and flowering trees in my neighborhood in the Spring are the best, but Fall has all the Halloween fun, my birthday, the changing leaves and sweaters.

Q: Cake or Pie?

A: Cake forever. I can’t imagine a situation where I would choose the opposite.

Q: Watch TV or Go outside?

A: Go outside (with lots of sunblock).

Q: The Book or the Movie Adaptation?

A:  Interesting. I don’t read comics but I love Marvel movies/TV, including Spiderman and X-Men. Movie Adaptation.
