It's my honor to introduce to you the newest design team member here at Foster Made, Sabrina Rozbicki. I hope you enjoy our interview and getting to know Sabrina a little more!
A: I grew up in “5 minutes outside of DC”, Virginia. There was a lot of “keeping up with the Joneses’” there. When I moved to Richmond for school, I found it had a much different pace. Less “what do you do and who do you know?” and more “what do you enjoy doing?” What I love most is the general culture of creativity here. I could do without the traffic when I visit my parents though!
A: I’ve been working to become a UX/UI designer and Foster Made gave me that opportunity! What drew me in was the quality and diversity of their projects. Before this I was working in user support, getting a feel of the kinds of frustrations users experience during their interactions with technology.
A: I like to start and abandon a bunch of artistic hobbies. The latest one is hand-built pottery. The longest lasting one is digital illustration. A notable one was when I used to make thrift store oddities into lamps.
A: Long walks in The Fan, stationary biking while binging a TV show (just started re-watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer), taking classes, singing in the car, and spending time with my girlfriend.
A: Unfortunately, I’m highly allergic to anything with dander :( I am taking allergy shots though! I love cats and dogs from afar. To fill this gaping void, I have two very allergy-friendly clownfish. Fun fact: they are all born males and the dominant of a pair grows larger and changes its sex to female.
A: It’s a double-edged sword but I love instagram. I follow a lot of creators on there and try to not get overwhelmed with the other stuff.
A: I’m excited to be a part of a really happy team creating great work. I want to contribute as much as I can while also refining my design skills.
A: My karaoke song is Head over Feet by Alanis Morissette but sometimes it’s We R Who We R by Kesha.
